1. Launch of The Sound Stage

SOURCE: Email I just received from Jonathan Alpart of CRI (China Radio International)

    Hey all:

Within the last few months I’ve gotten in touch with you all at some
point and let you know about the show I have been developing.  We
launched our first episode last week and uploaded the second episode
this afternoon.  Since we are humming along (relatively) nicely now I
thought I would get the word out.

And I am always interested in bands that you can send my way to cover.
Each episode’s general format is about a single band.  We interview
the band, and then the band plays a song for us and we turn it into a
sort of hybrid between a live performance and a music video.

I’d appreciate any feedback I can get.  It’s not much right now, but I
believe, as do all of you, that there is a lot of potential in this
    scene that we love.

    Thanks for all your support!
    Jonathan Alpart

PS: Bar owners, since we prefer to shoot bands in bars and clubs
(battle-tested sound systems make for good live recordings), I’ve come
up with a plan that I think benefits all three parties - our show, the
bands, and your club. When we shoot in your club, you arrange on your
own terms a performance with that band to play at your club in the
coming months, and then we will promote that performance on that
    band’s episode on our show.
